Rescuers are moving a whale stranded in the River Thames and intend to put it on a barge to take it to open water.
The 18ft (5m) northern bottle-nosed whale, first spotted on Friday, has been placed in a special pontoon in shallow water near Battersea Bridge. It will be taken to the river estuary while the team await veterinary results on the animal's health.
