Bonehead wtmusic learns to respect traffic cones
Advertisements [?]
Riding in Griffith Park in L.A. this morning I came across a construction crew blocking the right lane of a two-lane road with traffic cones. Too impatient to wait for oncoming traffic to clear in the left lane, I jammed between the cones. Suddenly a two-foot-wide utility ditch appeared in front of me--with no time to stop.

Damage: one wheel and two tires trashed ($300 total) and a long walk (carrying the bike) to find someone with a cell (oh yeah--bring that next time too). Luckily I didn't fall.

D'oh! :banghead:
