So they complain about things that aren't true or are not sensible. The posts that say it's bad just because Santorum is involved are silly. If this is a bill Kerry has been pursuing since 1997 to protect religious minorities, it's great that he is using Santorum's (and others) view that Christians are persecuted. I'm surprised the Santorum agreed to the pharmacy rule as the default is that someone will fill your prescription. (Which is a great "compromise" when there are states allowing owners to decide not to carry contraceptives at all.)

If Kerry refused to talk to all evil Republicans (and bad Democrats) wouldn't he be ineffective. His international AIDS bill was with Frist. Who knows what good will (or votes) he is likely to get from working with Santorum. I can't imagine how they think the minority Democrats would be able to do anything if they didn't work with even bad Republicans.

I doubt that he's inviting Santorum to his house though. :)
