Paying the price for a bad spring [View All]

In April my gardens were in great shape. I had already tilled some areas, everything else was clean and ready to go. In May bad health struck. First I pulled a ligament in my foot and had trouble walking across the room on a flat surface. My podiatrist banned me from the garden. Not long after that my husband became ill and spent a week in the hospital. I didn't even get all my annuals in the ground. Now I'm paying the price. The gardens have been taken over by weeds. I'm back to square one. As soon as I get the big ones pulled, I'm going to attack the beds with a heat gun hoping to kill the devil weed seeds. Do you think it will work or will
I do more damage. (As for the bad foot, I got orthotics for my shoes and am now doing almost great!)
