Well, not exactly. What I am searching for is information on a new opportunity that others (trusted sources) predicted would come my way this September. Supposedly, it doesn't come from the warehouse job I'm working now, but I guess it theoretically could (I feel like I've looked everywhere else for it and maybe my current job is the gateway to it and I just haven't noticed). The reason I'm asking for impressions from the group again is that I feel it is really, really important that I find and utilize this opportunity, and all of the readers I usually turn to for help in these situations are unavailable. It was intimated to me that this would come my way "in September," and I realize we're not done with September yet, but I'm kinda frustrated that we're almost at the end of the month and I haven't located it yet.

Clues I have about the nature of the opportunity: a) it may involve significant financial gains (not necessarily in the form of a high salary; it's possible its rewards are more like "social currency," b) it's supposedly quite different from anything I'm doing now (possibly even part of a "counter-culture") and c) it has the potential to be entirely absorbing. So much so that I was told this is its number one risk to me, and that if I got too absorbed in it, it would put the novel I'm trying to finish at risk.

If anyone gets any impressions about what this opportunity is, I would love it if you could post them here. There is the remote possibility that I've already found it, but that the person or other agents who make me aware that I've found it simply haven't stepped into view yet, and if anyone "gets" that, this would be helpful to know.
