I'm intrigued by your question, BlueIris. I never really thought too much about differentiating individual spirit guides, so therefore I never noticed any unwritten rules about engagement with them.

FWIW, whatever guide(s) I have around me have a delightful sense of humor. I love how they "comment," such as how they've done with the black/white (car) saga I've been posting on the Daily Psychic III thread.

Hmmm, that's interesting. Note how I refer to them as "they," and have not differentiated any as a personality. I think I think of them as "they" because of a few dreams I've had of them. They are older, wise women.

Well, anyway, to answer your question about how I stay in touch with them, I would say it is by appreciating their sense of humor and "getting it" when they do funny things. Kind of like laughing at someone's joke, but most certainly in my case it's more than appreciating the joke, it's appreciating the subtleties, the appropriateness, and the cleverness of how they manifested or communicated.
