between Torino and the US, all the premier events will not be shown live. Bob Costas and Co. will be tape delaying all the important events til the ever-so-important 8:00 pm EST.

The coverage on the other networks, USA, CNBC and MSNBC will all be the events the American viewing public doesn't have a whole lot of interest in like women's hockey, curling, biathalon, cross-country skiing, etc.

They save all the good stuff for prime-time and indundate the viewers with fluff stories and commercials, commercials, commercials. I guess NBC has to recoup the money they gave the IOC for the television rights, but it would be nice to see some of the important events live.

I dread the thought of listening to Katie and Matt on Friday night for the opening ceremonies though. The two of them nearly put me to sleep four years ago because of their droning on and on in Salt Lake City.
