In her final preparation for the July 24 Lady’s Secret Stakes at Monmouth Park, reigning Horse of the Year Rachel Alexandra breezed a half-mile in :49 3/5 over the Oklahoma training track at Saratoga July 19.
The final time for the daughter of Medaglia d'Oro trained by Steve Asmussen was 18th fastest of the day among 37 working the distance. The $400,000 Lady’s Secret, at 1 1/8 miles, will be the first start for the champion since she notched her first win of the year with a 10 ½-length triumph in the Fleur de Lis (gr.
