In case you don't already know about it, here's one of the little things that I add to each day: I use the Astronomy Picture a Day site as my browser home page. It's absolutely wonderful, with amazing pictures of earth, sky and outer space and a link-filled paragraph of explanation about whatever phenomenon is pictured, written by a professional. I love it. It's a good reminder that there is always beauty all around us.

Today's picture was not that interesting - a photomontage of a Mercury transit, but YESTERDAY's was a 360 degree panoramic view from the top of Mount Everest. I learned in the accompanying paragraph that In the native language of Nepal, the mountain's name is "Sagarmatha" which means "forehead of the sky." Notice that you can scroll a long way to the right for the 360 degree pan.
