New evidence of possible U.S. election fraud
11/21/2004 10:00:00 AM GMT

Bev Harris, the last investigator of electronic voting machines, along with people from Florida Fair Elections, went to Florida's Volusia County Elections Office on Tuesday, November 16 in the afternoon, and asked to check each of the poll tapes for the 100+ optical scanners in the precincts in that county.

A "poll tape" is a term used to describe the printout from an optical scan voting machine made the evening of an election, after the machine reads all the ballots. It gives the final results of the election in that location. Polling officials present in that precinct/location should then sign the printout, then it should be submitted to the county elections office as an official record of how the people in that particular area had voted. (each location should have only one single optical scanner/reader, and thus produces only one poll tape.)

Granted, it's under their "Conspiracy Theory Section", but it's out there.
