We hope to see you at the potluck and/or movie on Sunday! Members of the IVAW (Iraq Veterans Against The War) will be there. They have many projects in the works for the coming year. Their goal is the same as ours, to shut this war down asap. It would be great if we could come up with some ideas on how to support their efforts.
Southend Neighbors for Peace and Justice has been holding vigils in Burien at the northwest corner of the 1st Avenue South and S.148th Street (under the "Welcome To Burien" arch) intersection every time the death toll in Iraq crosses the 100 U.S. soldier benchmark. Unfortunately, we are coming upon that benchmark again. The exact time and day of the vigil will be posted on the FederalWayMatters.org site when it is time to commemorate 3900 deaths.
You are always welcome to jumpstart your week in a public forum by indicating your disapproval of this war and the folks that brought it to us out on the corners of the S. 320th and Pac Hwy S. intersection every Sunday from noon until 1 PM. Your account in the Bank Of Karma pays double interest for protesting in rainy, windy, cold, or otherwise inclement weather.
Best wishes to you and yours for a very healthy, joyous, and PEACEFUL 2008!!!

The first film of its kind to chronicle the reasons behind Iraq's descent into guerilla war, warlord rule, criminality and anarchy, No End In Sight is a jaw-dropping, insiders' tale of wholesale incompetence, recklessness and venality.
