Welcome to February, the chilliest month of the year! On the other hand, we're most of the way through winter.

The other thing February brings is the next AWIS general meeting. Please join the discussion of the issues women face in academia and how they are being addressed. We have a number of fantastic panelists who belong to the UW Advance Program, which is dedicated to advancing the position of women in science, engineering and mathematics.
