is widely known. They oppose ALL "exploitation" (aka USE) of animals, including pet ownership. Ingrid Newkirk head of PETA, has said that she hopes to see domestic animals eventually die out and cease to exist altogether, and of course that means the vets will presumably have to die out, too.

I wouldn't put it past PETA or their more violent friends to do something violent at the AVMA convention. Glad I am not going this year.
