203. It's a warning. If you rich guys come begging to the government for help,
you will have to accept the government, the taxpayers, as stakeholders who have a say in how you run your company and how much you pay your top executives.

Obama is under a lot of international pressure to do this. The French, for example, have been pressing international companies to lower the pay of top executives.

I was thinking this morning: liberty and justice for all. We heard so much about liberty, "freedom," from GWB, but we never heard about justice. It's time to have a little justice. This is just symbolic, but it sends the message: the rich should not be asking the poor for hand-outs. The other way round is OK, but the rich should take care of themselves from a financial point of view.

Now, we need to do something to help keep homeowners in their homes.
