As for predictions, I look for the Governor fight on the Dem side to boil down to Hynes -V- Madigan and I look for the Senate fight to be another free for all with a zillion candidates to start with and maybe a couple clear front runners by Labor Day. That Senate seat will go to a Chicago (read as a Daley approved) candidate.


On the GOP side, the last time I talked to anyone his comment was "We don't HAVE anybody that is viable..." You obviously can't take that to the bank, but the IL GOP is still not as strong as they would like to be. What we must NEVER forget, however, is that the IL GOP is in the shape they are because of Republican Governor George Ryan and the Republican party's attempts to protect him when he was under investigation...
