As long as it wasn't violent like dismantling or burning, I don't see why people would be mad. Hell, if McCain staff were just partying with a Michelle Obama cutout, that'd be the nicest thing they did regarding her.

Having sex? No one's having any sex in the picture. If he had humped the thing, maybe.

What about all the jokes about Palin being called "Caribou Barbie" or Laura Bush being a "Stepford wife"? Those are more "sexist" than this, but people just laughed along because of a little something called humor. Personally, I don't even give a shit about the supposedly controversial New Yorker cover.
