Therein lies the Republican danger.

In their eyes, McCain is still the lower-tax, smaller government, pro-military, God-fearing, NON-DEMOCRATIC nominee. Due to the culture of the Republicans, they KNOW that their base will vote for him regardless--and they will.

We love our party and we encourage it to improve--that's a GREAT thing. But we suffer from the same things that draw us to it; that they actively try to engage us all with our ever-more diverse agendas and then fail to manage it. We hold our people to a much higher standard; of course they will fail occasionally/sometimes/a lot.

There is ONE certaintly this electiuon year; nothing will improve--nothing--if John McCain gets into the WH.

From here, it's Us or Them; survival or extinction. I need that kind of tunnel vision. Complain all you want; I don't need the "ignore" feature to avoid it.

But if by some chance McCain wins, I'm damn good at holding a grudge and remembering...
