28. Listen fellow DU'ers.....here is my thoughts about the presidency
We may not like Bush...... We may not respect Bush....... We may not agree with Bush.......
But......there is nothing to be gained by disrespecting the office of the president of US. If we want to remain a strong democracy, we must respect the institutions that frame our free and democratic republic. And that includes the president, the congress and the SCOTUS. We have only one president at a time. Next time hopefully it will be our democrat nominee Kerry who will move into the white house. I hope and pray the other side will not call him vulgar and derogatory names. Respect begets respect. I for one am ashamed to be the first one to cast the stone.
