10.  You want an investigation about Katrina?
Edited on Sat Jan-20-07 12:05 AM by barb162
Why? We all saw 24 hours a day for a few weeks what was wrong there. Idiot A hires idiot B (Chertoff) who hires idiot C (Brown). Brown (C) was totally incompetent and inexperienced. I'm surprised he could go to the washroom by himself. If you want to go into issues like why we allow people to build houses a few feet from the water in hurricane areas or why we don't have forced evacuations, those are other stories that have been going on for years. What do you do when people don't want to or can't leave? It's federal, state and local authorities that messed up too. When local tax bodies see that sandbar out there could get a lot of tax money by having a five story condo built on it, they almost always say build. Plus the roads get so crowded, people don't want to leave. There's a hundred other reasons things went totally bad. Just watching the Houston evacuation a few months after Katrina and people returning because the roads were totally blocked and people were running out of gas, I shake my head.
