Odom, you really don't get it, do you? You're coming from a different world. This is BushWorld, where the U.S. can't even take care of its own, and uses aid to dump U.S. produce on third world markets to destroy them, and demands loyalty oaths and enforces rightwing religious dictates, and funnels our money to Bush Cartel buddies and into causes like overthrowing the democratically elected president of Venezuela. War criminals. Master thieves. The U.S. is not what it was. It is gone, Odom. We are the pariahs of the world. You think our aid ends up benefiting the poor or disaster victims? You are naive, I'm afraid. You haven't been paying attention. That country vanished in the Diebold fuzzy math of 2004.
