117. the key is NOT to abstain, but to MOTIVATE...
I read your post and get where you're coming from (if indeed that is your intent) but pulling back, as much as I'd like to see those responsible clearly held in account is, I believe the wrong move. We need to MOTIVATE America to step up and become intimately involved in all the various happenings in government. We, as a people have become so focused on living the life of the proverbial "Jones'" that we have allowed our "elected" leaders to paint us into a corner. Merely convincing the country that we're there is half the battle, the other half is of course prying power from the greedy sociopaths that occupy our government. Also, as progressive as I am I do not support a totalitarian Dem government either. Absolute power corrupts... In the real world nothing is absolute black or white (blue or red) there will always be shades. So don't be discouraged by how some react to your post. No one really knows who's for real and frankly everyone's pissed off in general... I know that I am.
