I support Chairman Dean and the Fifty State Strategy. I also donate to stae and local candidates from time to time.

Regarding small donation amounts, our Governor Goodhair recently got some heat over the way his campaign was coding small donations. It seems that some republicans who are upset about his support for a revamped business tax were protesting by sending in checks for a few cents each.

Political campaigns routinely code contribution checks to keep track of which event or mailing inspired them.

Because the unsolicited protest checks were not tied to any specific event, "they were coded as 'A Small Supporter,' " Perry campaign spokesman Robert Black said Friday.

"In hindsight, it probably wasn't the best choice for an abbreviation," Black said.
