10. Number one,
if they assaulted me, and there were no police around, I'd not be stupid enough to get up again. Anyone who has watched non-violent people at demonstrations know that is what you are to do.

My next step would be to call the police and have the person arrested for assault. I'm sure that even in my neck of the woods, someone doing this and causing harm (such as a bloody nose) would be arrested and go to trial. After his conviction, I would then sue him in civil court, and would give the monetary award to peace groups. If possible, I'd get him on Judge Judy so that he would be publicly lambasted by that famous jurist-after all, even freepers watch that show!

My third step, taken as soon as the fellow had charges placed against him, would be to find out if he has any links to local repukes. I'd make sure that everyone in the county would know that this is how repukes think problems should be solved-with photos, if available. I'd go at it from the idea that everyone has a right to talk with someone without being assaulted.

So, Mr. Emailer, you can see that if you follow your plan, you'll find that you will be supporting and encouraging those of us who wish for peace.
