I have no interest in wasting time reading about some secret society conspiracies.

Ok, so Kerry, a S&B member, could have easilly skipped out on Vietnam and got himself in the national guard or got work at an investment bank, or could have done a million other damn things. Why the hell would someone risk their life then? Or wait was his war service all a ploy too? Was it all an act? Was he actually secretly protected when over there?

He faught and then came home, realizing that it was an unjust war.

If people are going to attack Kerry for his apparent "flip flopping", fine. I think there's some substance to that. If they're going to mine his record and find discrepencies and inconsistancies, that's fine too. If there are any policy statements, proposals, or votes they don't agree with, I would urge them to state it. Any concerns about his "electibility"? Great. That's also an issue worth discussing.

However, I have seen absolutely NO EVIDENCE that Kerry's membership of S and B has had any affect on his tenure in public service, none. His record is overall very liberal, and has arguably become more opportunistic and politically calculated in the last few years. However, I somehow doubt that has anything to do with S and B. It might just have to do with his political ambitions and interest in running for president.
