10. Rosa Parks was a B lack Woman who initiated a stance that
helped Black folks and other minorities the most. Certainly, as years have passed, many of all races have and are seeing her as a symbol of Justice and courage....but it all started with a movement that was initiated by Black folks. They were the ones that walked to work instead of taking the bus during the boycotts. They were the ones who endured the water hoses and the dogs during the most volatile period of the protests. Sure, there were many White folks at the time who supported the Civil Rights cause....but in terms of proportionality, it was Black folks who initiated and won a meaningfull victory for themselves.

What she did was done at a time when the rule of law, laws that were on the books due to a white ran government, ruled supremely.

White people make up the majority of who we see on TeeVee commentating on some many things......let Black folks who were directly helped by this woman and others like her get a word in edgewise......it can't hurt! :hi:
