6. Bill Sammon is at least creditialed as a journalist
at least by Pox News. From the Daily Howler:

"When last we looked in on poor outraged Bill Sammon, he was pretending that loudmouth talker Chris Matthews had supported Gore in the 2000 campaign (see THE DAILY HOWLER, 5/11/01). We were critiquing a passage from Sammon’s new book which had been excerpted in the Washington Times. And we made a note to explore the full text when it became available at leading bookstores nationwide.

I"s it possible? Is it possible that Sammon—a high-placed member of the Washington press corps—could possibly think that Hardball host Matthews pulled for Gore in the last campaign? Assuming that Sammon is not insane, the notion is absurd on its face. Well, Sammon’s book is now in the stores, and it’s found on the best-seller lists as well. And in it, Sammon does what he likes to do best—he lies to abused readers about Gore. As it turns out, the passage about Matthews was just a taste of the dissembling—no, the lying—to come."

and then there's "One of the many instances of journalistic misconduct in the Times that has caught my attention was committed by reporter Bill Sammon, who wrote the following in his best-selling book "At Any Cost: How Al Gore Tried To Steal the Election", which was excerpted in the Times"

Sammon is a well known flack who substitutes opinion for fact. As to whether or not he's assumed Guckert's mantle, his "question" speaks for itself. It's just not quite as long winded as Guckert's rambling "prefaces."

The presence of Sammon and others still brings up the question "WHY GUCKERT???" There are right wing hacks aplenty to do the job, hacks with real credentials from biased outlets who could pass background checks under their own name.
