I live in the south and believe me...racism is alive and well and thriving. The only social events I've gone to that had some black people in attendance have been democratic events. They are also sexist. They don't even believe in women being the pastors of churches. The thought of having a black woman president is probably the ONLY thing that could get these people to vote Democratic!!! I don't think they could even put Rice on the ticket as VP, cause the president could die and you'd have a black woman president...their worst nightmare. Rice may win the black vote...but she would lose the south...period.
