Nobody's friend, Howard Fineman, pointed out that he only had 35 minutes of material for a 90-minute debate. That's because that's all that can be programmed into that pathetic sector-damaged hard disc of his.

That's it. That's all he's got.

What's poetic is how their own evil and thuggery worked against him: he was used to his cutesy bon mots getting a laugh, and when they didn't, he was caught off-guard. He hates being criticized, and it showed, oh how it showed. All he could do was go back on talking point, and it all sounded so canned and dreary that one's estimation of the man fell no matter how it stood at the onset.

All he could do was retreat to some kind of personal superiority riff, which was deadly, because he was having circles run around him.

The very idea of saying "I know how the world works" as some kind of dismissal of Kerry as a fool was beyond pompous.
