For the http://journals.democraticunderground.com/Skinner/254">second time this year, Hillary Clinton has delivered a high-profile, high-stakes speech on behalf of Barack Obama's presidential campaign. And for the second time she Nailed It.

Last night, she left no doubt -- she is going to do everything in her power to help elect the Obama/Biden ticket in November. And to the small number of her supporters who, until now, were not committed to supporting Barack Obama, she made a compelling argument: This election is not about the candidates. It's about the future of the country.

I want you to ask yourselves: Were you in this campaign just for me? Or were you in it for that young Marine and others like him? Were you in it for that mom struggling with cancer while raising her kids? Were you in it for that boy and his mom surviving on the minimum wage? Were you in it for all the people in this country who feel invisible?

Regardless of who you supported in the primary, the choice in the general election is clear. To any thinking person who actually cares about the future of this country, it's gotta be Barack Obama.

No way. No how. No McCain.

Do you smell it? It's everywhere. Even (of all places!) here on Democratic Underground. That's the sweet, sweet smell of Unity. We're going to win in November. And when we do, Hillary Clinton will deserve her share of the credit. She was awesome.

Oh, one more thing: The media needs to STFU.
