They point out that Malkin was dropped by a VA paper for her hate-filled talk.

I think habitually mistakes shrill for thought-provoking and substitutes screaming for discussion. She's an Asian Ann Coulter. I also think that, like Coulter, she says outrageous things just to get TV appearances and book deals. She's the worst of what's wrong with punditry today. She adds absolutely nothing to genuine political discourse.

Then they cut to the events about Edwards, pointing out that they ignored the right wing hatred.

As Media Matters for America noted, Malkin herself has been chastised for extreme, hate-filled writing. In 2004, the Norfolk Virginian-Pilot dropped Malkin's syndicated column, describing her writing as "seemingly mean-spirited rantings." A Virginian-Pilot columnist wrote that Malkin "habitually mistakes shrill for thought-provoking and substitutes screaming for discussion," that she represents "the worst of what's wrong with punditry today," and that she "adds absolutely nothing to genuine political discourse." Malkin has a history of launching ad hominem attacks on Democrats, such as her utterly baseless allegation on the August 19, 2004, edition of MSNBC's Hardball that one of Sen. John Kerry's (D-MA) war injuries might have been an intentionally "self-inflicted" wound.

As Media Matters documented, on February 7, The New York Times and the Associated Press reported criticism by Catholic League president Bill Donohue that Marcotte and McEwan are "anti-Catholic, vulgar, trash-talking bigots," without noting Donohue's own history of vulgar, trash-talking bigotry -- or of Donohue's decision to dismiss anti-Catholic bigotry on the part of Jerome Corsi, a key anti-Kerry operative in 2004. Media Matters has also noted that the media largely ignored the controversy behind McCain's hiring of Hynes, who failed to disclose his employment with McCain's campaign even though he posted several blog entries praising McCain as a presidential candidate and attacking McCain's rivals.

NY Times, AP reported Donohue's criticism of Edwards campaign bloggers -- but ignored Donohue's own controversial comments and inconsistent outrage.

Oh, did Donohue say he was going to use the NYT for his diatribe against John Edwards? Oh, yes he did, didn't he. Interesting.

In 2004, Media Matters first detailed anti-Catholic comments made by Jerome Corsi, who, as co-author of Unfit for Command (Regnery, 2004), was one of the ringleaders of the smear campaign by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth against Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) -- a Catholic presidential candidate. Among Corsi's bigoted comments:

CORSI: "So this is what the last days of the Catholic Church are going to look like. Buggering boys undermines the moral base and the laywers rip the gold off the Vatican altars. We may get one more Pope, when this senile one dies, but that's probably about it."
CORSI: "Boy buggering in both Islam and Catholicism is okay with the Pope as long as it isn't reported by the liberal press."
Corsi also called Islam "a worthless, dangerous Satanic religion," and a "cancer that destroys the body it infects" and claimed of Muslims: "RAGHEADS are Boy-Bumpers as clearly as they are Women-Haters -- it all goes together."

Talk about hate? Talk about controversial?

This is who is planning to take down of our Democratic candidates who refused to bend knee to his request to fire the bloggers

The worst part is the ones here at DU defending him.

Malkin and other blogs are starting after Dean and the DNC now for allowing a muslim to lead the prayer at the meeting. Do a search on Imam Husham Al-Husainy. We stand up or we lose our freedom to bigots.
