The Battle For Your Soul.

I am not a philosopher nor a prophet. I only know what I feel deep in my soul. I reject those that would say they can create their own reality. I reject those that think they can bring democracy to anyone at the point of a gun and with the name of Jesus Christ. Our world has evolved thru the violence and mistakes and lessons of history.

I reject puppetism and the cult of personality. Humanity does not need those that preach that they will change the world at the barrel of a gun and create their own "reality". My soul is repelled by those that attempt to define the "truth" by their political ambitions and personal greed.

It is within us all. I fight it because my heart tells me it is wrong. The Soviet Union did not fall at the point of a gun. It fell for different reasons. The Berlin Wall did not fall because we had more guns than the Soviet Union. It certainly did not fall because of any one person. It fell because that is the evolution of humanity.

That "evolution" is for the good, the brotherhood, the peace, and compasssion. It is not an evolution of war, violence, or "fake" democracy. Their "reality" is in opposition to everything my heart tells me.

The lies and distortions of their "reality" harms us all. All of humanity is harmed by their definitions. For example, the insurgency in Iraq is in its "last throes". Democracy is taking root in the Middle East, they say. Americans will do better with "private accounts" than with Social Security, they tell us. Scooter Libby simply forgot or had a different perspective - he didn't lie. The huge "deficits" don't really matter since they are such a small part of GDP. Saddam Hussein has nuclear materials and we cannot wait until we see the "mushroom cloud", they said. The economy is doing great. This is the "criminalization of politics", they say. And so forth and so forth ...

So their intent is to create a world in their own image. But, in the process, many people have to die and suffer. However, in the long run, everyone will be better for it because they will have "freedom and democracy" they tell us. But, my heart tells me differently. It says they are setting back "freedom and democracy" - even in the Middle East. They have upset a natural order that harms us all.

The Middle East is not exempt from the changes in the rest of the world. The same peaceful revolution that changed the Soviet Union and brought down the Berlin Wall would also bring change to the Middle East. Deep within my soul, I feel this war in Iraq has harmed the whole world, not just our own country. The repercussions and effects will be felt for many years and perhaps for decades. Even though, decades from now, they will say that their war and killing and violence worked. That is the nature of their "reality".

Why do I feel so strongly that they are dangerous and wrong? Deep within my soul, why do I feel that I must fight them with every fiber in my being? Because they stand for everything that I abhor in people - dishonesty, distortions, lies, violence, hate, arrogance, indifference, war, greed, and denial. For me personally, they are the "anti-Christ".
