Rumsfeld was the Defense Secretary on 9/11. He probably spends lots time at the Pentagon. I bet he even has an office there. :sarcasm:

Perhaps you could enlighten me as to how having "his hands were all over the command and control structure" made 9/11 happen with not one American coming forward to say hey the Defense Secretary did some really weird stuff that awful morning. Better yet perhaps you could explain how Rumsfeld bypassed existing protocols to make the action possible. Those military types get an awful lot of training about Chain of Command for good reason. It not like Rummy could have barked out some commands to "make it happen" without someone saying WTF.
