First of all, this wasn't my post, although I did post this same article in another thread.

Secondly, yes everything you posted would most likely go against the thought processes and "ideology" of most DUers and progressives in general, but I don't believe those issues were the reasons Kalian posted the article. However, there are also some compelling thoughts in this article regarding monetary policy which most likely would be shared by DUers and progressives.

If this world is ever going to be able to have an intelligent debate to the many problems that is facing it today, we need to find some common ground from where discussions can begin. To toss out and totally disregard this article, or any viewpoint, that does not exactly match ours gets us, and the discussion, nowhere. That would be no different than the "your with us or against us" mantra of Shrubco.
