This was our 2nd hottest and 6th driest summer in Mississippi since records were kept. I can't even remember our last rain-maybe a month, five weeks ago. Just 100 degrees+ day after day after day. Then yesterday the early rain from Tropical Storm Lee started....its been over 24 hours of soft, slow steady rain with short breaks.
Sorry, Texas, I know you needed it even more than we but things didn't go your way. I know I'll sleep so much better tonight, listening to the sound of the rain on the roof.  |
