And either as some sort of Lord Haw Haw with a posh accent who says things like "I say" and "bloody good show, what?" or as an Andy Capp type in a tweed jacket and flat cap who spends most of his time down the pub drinking warm flat beer and playing darts.

How the British see Americans: as loud, overbearing, arrogant, ignorant, ill-mannered rednecks. Picture the average stereotyped chauvinistic Texan and you've pretty much got it. Also, even worse than sore losers; sore winners: "we saved your asses in WWII!" (which, actually...no). Also as very violent and probably armed. With guns. Maybe several guns. And driving around in large SUVs while eating something that consists mostly of layers of cheese sandwiched between layers of bacon.
