Don't Cats Get Bored?
Advertisements [?]
Friend of mine has a cat that clamors at the window so it can sit out on the air conditioner. It sits there all day, then it clamors to get back in the house. The animal does this day after day except when it rains.

My own two cats never leave my apartment. Occasionally one of them will take advantage of an open door and go out and investigate the hall. The sound of another tenant in the hall has them scurrying back for safety. Both of them were strays that I brought in from the outside, so it's not as though they haven't seen the big wide world.

There's no way to keep a dog in the house; the animal would go stir crazy just from being cooped up. Not so with cats. They don't seem to get bored, ever. Of course if I'm gone all day they act like they've missed me. It seems to take very little to keep them amused. Maybe that's why they're so popular as pets.
