My Silly Solution for Stress Reduction
Advertisements [?]
After reading HypnoToad's venting this morning (he had the misfortune of seeing a * campaign ad), I thought that perhaps we all need an outlet for venting. Its gonna be a long 8 months til the election and we shouldn't waste our precious energy on * any more than we need to. And then I remembered: The Dammit Doll. A friend gave it to me- it is a little stuffed thing that came with these instructions:

When you want to climb the walls and stand right up and shout,
Here's a little "Dammit Doll" you cannot do without.
Just grab it firmly by the legs and find a place to slam it.
As you whack it's stuffing out,
Yell "DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT"

Since I don't have enough to pass out to all of you, be creative and make one of your very own. A few symbolic ideas:

A stuffed sock with *'s face stuck to it (Mission Accomplished, anyone?)
A rat squeaky toy- swing that baby by the tail and let 'er rip!
Any GOP action figure (although this does have the unfortunate effect of lining the pockets of those who manufacture them).

You have your assignment. Go forth and be creative. Or, you could just take the advice found on these bumper sticker I recently saw:

"Don't get angry- get naked" and "Mean people suck- Nice people lick"
