11. I've always had cats. I remember some doozies.
Like when my favorite cat ever, a mellow tabby male (who's thirteen and only now starting to slow down a bit), came in from the back door one summer morning, just before I left for work, with an almost-dead baby bird in his mouth. He then proceeded to "finish the job", to protests from the poor little thing. I almost vomited and couldn't bring myself to go near it. He must have taken care of it while I was at work, 'cause it was totally gone when I returned that afternoon. The look on his face was what was so disturbing. That sweet, affectionate, mellow, loving cat had the look of a vicious lion stalking and eating prey.

Another time a neighbor's cat came running past with a live baby rabbit in its mouth, screeching, with the mother rabbit not far behind, screaming. THAT was really hard to take, even though I knew the cat was just being a cat.

Then there were the cats who'd leave little "presents" for us, like dead mice.
