Update on my dogs:

I did triage this morning.

Maddy's eye *blessedly* stopped bleeding, but it was still a little runny. She can see out of it and it's not deflated, so that's okay. Some of her wounds still looked a little gnarly, but she was *not* missing a 3x3 chunk of skin, as I thought she might be last night. She still had a divot, and some matted areas of fur, under which Lord only knows what could be going on. She wagged her tail when she saw me this morning, so she wasn't too distressed.

Pippi, on the other hand, was lying on the bathroom floor. When she saw me she whined. The back of her neck looked okay, but the wound right where her chest met her leg looked messy. I petted her and she was whining and trembling.

So, the winner of a trip to the vet was Pip.

I took her in, and the vet immediately said her chest wound would need to be opened, cleaned, and stitched.

The vet said they could put Pip under a "mild" anesthesia, and I could take her home later.

I went home and trimmed Maddy's hair and just got some areas aired out a bit.

I picked Pip up at 5. While they had her out they sewed up her ear and trimmed her nails. I think she got about 7 stitches, all told.

This was all for the low, low price of $331. Plus another hundred for Bailey's food. :eyes:

I asked at the desk and they said we had spent $3,250 there this year. I would guess that it was about even between Pippi getting her ass kicked in January (necessitating a canine tooth extraction) and Bailey barfing blood in June (necessitating multiple x-rays, several days in the hospital, and a special diet ever since).

Anyone want some dogs?

At the very least, can anyone tell me how to get my dogs to chill the hell out and stop beating on each other?
