Nukular Chicken Wings [View All]

So the crew is on a layover in Anchorage one summer day a few years ago.
There was a little wings joint a few blocks away.
Tiny little place.
You'd walk through the kitchen, place your order, and wait out back on the deck until you were called.

The menu ran something like:
Sissy
Mild
Pretty Warm
Hot
and NUCLEAR!

I love hot spicy stuff so I said "I'll take the nukes.", natch.
We went out on the deck and sat at a table next to a couple. There was a full plate of wings in front of them.

After a little chit chat about the weather, etc. the guy turned to us.
"Would you guys like this plate of wings? We ordered the Nuclear and they're just too damn hot for us."
"Let me have a taste."

I took a small bite and chewed it.
And then...HOLY SHIT!!! WHOA!!! JEEZUSSSSS!!!
As soon as I was sufficiently recovered I rushed to the kitchen.
"CANCEL THE NUKES! I think the 'Hot' will do fine."
