You know the Corona beer commercial where the guy is sitting in an adirondack chair overlooking the most perfect beach you could imagine, skipping stones out into the water, then his cell phone rings, so he skips the cell phone into the water? That was filmed on a little beach just a few miles north of Tulum. There is a little bar there and nothing else, I plan to hunt it down, you have to find the right dirt road.

The poverty, though is difficult to take. I feel like I am rubbing their noses in it, parading through their world flaunting my wealth (and compared to the maya, we are all wealthy if we can afford to visit them). Makes me appreciate how enormously blessed we are.
