12. This one's really not irrational, but...
...People who call ME and then put me on hold. :grr: I hang up on them.

More:

People who call ME and can't seem to stop eating or drinking when they call. C'mon, folks---if you need to call me, finish your Big Mac or Coke first. :eyes: I freakin' HATE the sound of smacking or gulping, especially when it's on the phone, and especially since it prevents them from uttering words that they called me to utter. :grr: There is nothing more irritating than, "Well, see... *smack* (talks with mouth full) I really need to *gulp* *swallow* ask you *glug glug* a question..." NO. NO. I politely ask if they can call me back after they're finished eating. If they don't get the polite hint, I say, "Well, you need to finish your meal. I'll call you back in an hour." And I hang up. :grr: I can't STAND listening to that... It used to happen quite a lot at work, since students were calling to ask questions and didn't have the decency to ask questions without having their mouths full of food or drink. :eyes:
