Seriously. The man is your HUSBAND. That's seven letters long, not five. Not only does the word LOOK weird to me, but it sounds like pure weirdness. And yes, I do know people who actually--IN REAL LIFE!!--refer to their husbands as "Hubby."

AHHH! The pure juvenile torment!! My skin just about crawls away at the thought of it.

No offense to those of you who do it, but it just weirds me out on so many levels. Not only does it sound, to me, like something coming from the mouth of a five-year-old, but it's one of those "sickly sweet" words that really irks me.
