Save the beer and make him finish it next time you see him, on pain of having posters made up of him in his full disgrace, having left a wounded soldier on the field, and said posters distributed all around town, with quadruple coverage in all his local waterholes to let the people know just what kind of wanker they're dealing with. This is how we dealt with bomb-droppers in college, and I merely assumed it was the only possible way to handle the situation.
