I'm sure we've all had both kinds of neighbors - the perpetually angry on the one hand, and the lazy indulgent parents of spoiled brats on the other. There's no way to know which is the case here.

What I do find interesting about this thread is the proportion of people who are willing to assume that the woman is a 'crazy old bat' - it seems like we have a majority who are immediately going in that direction. Does it mean we really love cats, or do we just not like old ladies? :shrug:
