4. Asthma?
My beloved, late Chester had it and was on pred for several years, at varying doses. We never knew how old he was, but he was a big boy. Prednisone is supposed to cause kidney problems and we always checked his levels religiously, but in the end, he passed from pancreatic cancer at a very ripe old age (we think 16 to 18). He was docile enough that we were able to give him breathing treatments using an infant device (ask your vet if this is an option - this was very helpful during spring and fall, when his asthma was really bad). Good luck. What a cute kitty. :)
