72. We have a neighbor who absolutely hates
anything green and growing. The only reason she hasn't had her yard taken up and replace with concrete is that she can't afford it (she's told us so). And she used to complain long and loud about our 'jungle' out back, had fits about the bush under our bedroom window because somebody could hide in it and jump out at her when she comes home late, etc.

So she called code enforcement on us to try to make us clear the bamboo and tea tree stand in the back. When inspected, it was found that there were several Carolina wren nests. The state bird and protected by law. We were ordered not to even think of touching it. That didn't go over too well to start with but when the inspectors actually laughed at her about the bush, she was livid. They really didn't think that anyone would even try hiding in a 6 foot tall, 3 foot wide, dense holly bush with inch long thorns everywhere. (Even trying to get close to it to trim it was a problem)

She still would complain about our trees and plants every chance she got until I started planting 3 new things every time she opened her mouth about them.
