objects in the room are both factors to consider in addition to the quality of the speakers. You dont need to use an elephant gun to hunt pigeons (dumb anlalogy but you know what I mean)I am no expert but it's the low end, i.e. explosions and stuff that you don't want to sound fake or rumbly. Check out an audio site, geeks are more than happy to help you. And if you ever test speakers in a store, it's always good to bring a cd that you are familiar with... so you can judge the sound. Why dont you google the receiver you got and find someone who has a similalr set up, I bet there is a geek with an entire site devoted to it,.
