some years ago, I used to make little custom music tapes for friends and relatives . . . they seemed to enjoy them a lot, and kept asking for more . . . anyhow, I gave several to my best friend (of 35 years) a few years back, which he liked a lot . . . during a recent conversation, he told me (quite happily) that his 15-year-old son (who also happens to be my godson) has been listening to one of these tapes, apparently over and over and over . . . now this is a kid who, for the past several years, has listened to nothing but Eminem and other rap, hip hop, and assorted AM radio garbage . . . I asked which tape it was, discovered I'd made myself a copy, and decided to play it tonight . . . I was amazed! . . . that this kid is turned on by these tunes warms my heart and gives me at least some hope for the younger generation! . . .
