WTF....I don't know if it's sour grapes or what (I know there's a lot of Patriots fans on here), but all I hear is hate, hate, hate. You sound like a bunch of freepers. I thought we here on DU are supposed to be the good guys. Even if a team we don't like wins, we still congratulate them on the win, and don't be bad losers. Freepers are the ones, who when they lose, say stuff like "this guy sucks."

Both Dungy and Manning (along with pretty much the rest of the Colts) go about their job humbly and respectfully. They don't talk shit, they don't brag, they don't go out and do dumb shit out in town....I just don't understand the hate for these two guys.

Look....I'm the guy who put up the "Jesus Saves" sticky that offended a lot of Christians on this board. Even though I'm a non-denominational Christian, I don't take religion too seriously. I am one of the most vocal people you will ever find on the separation between church and state. However, getting mad at Dungy because he thanked God is ridiculous. The guy's been through a lot....his son just committed suicide last year. After all he's been through, who cares if he's a little religious? You act like he's forcing his religion down your throat like some fundie....it's quite the opposite. He's just thanking God for his happy moment. There's nothing wrong with doing that in public. He's not putting up the 10 Commandments at the courthouse. He's just a happy, nice guy who's been through a lot, and he's thanking God for his brief happy moment. If Dungy had thanked Allah, all the freepers would have hated on him, just like a lot of you guys are hating on Dungy now. However, the same people on DU, who are excoriating him about thanking God, would have been backing him up if he thanked Allah.

Also, the hate on Manning is ridiculous, also. He's one of the nicest guys in the sport. He's quiet, he's humble, he's not afraid to make fun of himself, and he's very respectful. DU should love a guy like that, but surprisingly you hate on him. I don't get it.
